Pick & Place Depanner.

Description:

The function of the depanner is to remove baked products from baking tins or trays as they are transported along the conveyor under the depanner. The depanned products are then transferred onto a product take away conveyor. (These conveyors are optional items that can be supplied by Turkington).

The depanner head is designed to lift the products vertically from the tin or baking tray and is fitted with a removable suction plate. This suction plate is fitted with a matrix of silicone rubber metal detectable suction cups. For higher capacity applications two or more suction plates can be mounted on the same head to lift product from several tins or trays at the same time. Additional quick-change suction plates can be supplied with different suction cup patterns to enable different products to be depanned. System Elements:

• The depanner head is designed to lift the products vertically from the tin or baking tray and is fitted with a removable suction plate. This suction plate is fitted with a matrix of silicone rubber metal detectable suction cups. For higher capacity applications two or more suction plates can be mounted on the same head to lift product from several tins or trays at the same time. Additional quick-change suction plates can be supplied with different suction cup patterns to enable different products to be depanned.
• The depanner head is supported on linear slides to achieve the ‘X’ and ‘Y’ movements, and is driven back and forth and up and down by means of a motorised timing belt arrangement or crank arm.
• A suitably sized suction fan assembly is provided that is housed in an acoustic enclosure within the depanner framework. This fan can be sited remote from the depanner if required. An acoustic silencer is fitted to the outlet side of the fan assembly. Depending on the types of products being handled an optional free standing dust collector or alternatively a cyclone separator can be supplied connected to the suction fan with air ducting.
• A stainless steel electrical control panel is provided fitted with a PLC unit, operator display screen and controls etc.
