History

Turkington Europe Ltd (formerly J. F. Turkington (Eng) Ltd) is part of the Turkington Industries Ltd group of companies and was established 33 years ago by the present Chairman John Turkington. A diversified engineering company based in the North West of Great Britain its great strength is the emphasis placed on innovation and new development focused on delivering tangible competitive advantage to its customers. There are 135 employees based at the main factory in the UK.

With a leading market position within the UK Turkington Industries has built a solid reputation for providing production and handling systems within vital industries producing a wide variety of consumable goods in price sensitive markets. The approach Turkington Industries takes to each job is the same, attention to detail, detailed understanding of the process and empathy with the end users needs. The product range available is extensive. And underpinning each product are years of investment in development using the latest technology and materials to improve product efficiencies. The current range of products for bakeries includes, automatic dough mixers, automatic robotic gantry pan storage, automatic robotic lidding and robotic delidding, hot and cold bread distribution systems, slicers, baggers, basket feed systems, video pattern recognition & sortation in fact everything needed to run an efficient modern bakery 24 hours a day with the minimum of personnel. Turkington Industries were pioneers in the UK by introducing stainless steel equipment and now it’s the industry standard in food processing plants because of its hygienic properties and versatility.

As for the future there is a great level of optimism.
