Specification:

The Lidders are a fabricated stainless steel construction fitted with stainless steel box section support legs and articulating feet to give +/-50 mm height adjustment.

The lids are conveyed edge down sandwiched between a series of stainless steel gravity rollers and spring loaded driven wedge belts, this assembly mounted at an angle of approximately 15 degrees to the tin conveyor under. The wedge belts run at a speed 10% slower than the speed of the tin conveyor to assist in presenting the lids squarely onto the tin straps.

The lids are indexed one at a time on demand as a tin is presented to the lidding point. A pneumatically operated side clamp is fitted to the lidder to prevent pressure being placed on the front lid. A further two side clamps are mounted on the tin conveyor, the first to provide correct gapping of the tin straps for lidding and the second to ensure that the tin being lidded is square to the lid.

The lidder is normally supplied with an integral stainless steel electrical control panel fitted with a PLC unit together with a stainless steel panel housing the pneumatic valves etc.
